Mortuus is a vibrant, immersive theatre storytelling experience that will take its audience on a journey from the campfire ghost story, through a rich tapestry of global myths, folklore and soundscapes.

Two performers will weave stories from across the world and through time, to explore the many faces of remembrance and honouring the universal human tradition of celebrating the dead.

Each tale will celebrate the diverse cultural heritage from various traditions such as, Día de los Muertos in Mexico, Obon in Japan, Samhain in Celtic lore, Gai Jatra from Nepal and All Souls’ Day in parts of Europe.

Mortuus is a transformative exploration of how grief can bloom into celebration. It’s a heartfelt reminder that across continents and centuries, we are united by the stories we tell, the songs we sing, and the candles we light for those who came before us.
