Festival of Lights: Lantern Procession
Join us for the highlight of the Festival of Lights - the magnificent Lantern Procession, led by 'Ghost Caribou' by Thingumajig Theatre and RSVP Bhangra Band.
'Ghost Caribou' features giant illuminated creatures (part caribou, part spirit) roaming a mystical world after dark and performing their other-worldly ceremony. With music, song and shadow puppets they tell stories of lost homes, impossible migrations and sees of hope before continuing the journey into their hauntingly beautiful dream-world of the night.
RSVP Bhangra Band is always guaranteed to get even the most reluctant on their feet, and leave audiences breathless with excitement! With musicians wholly rooted in an authentic living tradition, yet unafraid to innovate, this is the ultimate celebratory Indian music.
Come dressed up, gather at 5:45pm at Caldmore Community Garden, and get ready to light up the night! We will return to the garden at the end of the procession for a 'Ghost Caribou' performance by Thingumajig Theatre at 7:30pm.
